The various services that will be provided are given below

1. Psychological Assessment and Testing (for children and adults)
i) IQ Testing
ii) DQ Testing (Development Quotient to identify child ‘at risk’ or with development delay).
iii) Personality Assessment and Testing.
iv) Testing for Mental Health Disorders & Learning Disorders.
v) Diagnosis and Psychological Evaluation of Problem.
2. Special Education
This involves giving educational and therapeutic programs for children with special needs through making Individualized Education Program (IEP) to help them learn various tasks of daily living, academics, communication, self-direction, recreation, vocation etc. This helps to improve the rate of development, attention & concentration and academic performance of children with poor academic performance, forgetfulness, slow-learning or associated conditions of learning-backwardness due to problems in understanding, reading, writing or memorizing. For instance, children with Mental Retardation, Epilepsy (seizures), Autism, Learning Disability (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down-Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Illness and CVA.
3. Early Intervention Services
Early Intervention Services are individualized care and training program (which includes stimulation program in Special Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy), which helps
a child have a faster rate of development and prevents secondary handicaps. For instance, children having increased biological risks or with established development delays, disability and deviations.

4. Psychological services (Psychotherapy, Behavior Therapy, Behavior Modification and Counseling)

This includes remediation of problems using psychological techniques and principles for all kinds of Mental Health related issues & problems.
 

Who needs these services?

These services are for all individuals ranging from 2 months of age to adults of all ages. 

They include in children with,

For Early Intervention Services - Children having increased biological risks or with established development delays, disability and deviation. For example: Prematurity, Low Birth Weight, Birth Asphyxia, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation etc.
  •   Mental Retardation (Mentally Challenged).
  •   Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
  •   Learning Disability (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia).
  •   Down Syndrome.
  •   Autism.
  •   Cerebral Palsy.
  •   Disruptive and conduct disorder like stealing, lying, aggressive/violent/destructive
      behavior, highly mischievous behavior.
  •   Emotional disorders in children – Performance Anxiety, Anxiety, Phobias, Temper     
      Tantrum, Disobedience, Obstinacy, School Phobia, Sibling Rivalry, School Refusal,   
      Adjustment Problem, being too quiet (introvert), being sad and Depressed,
      Separation Anxiety, Stranger Anxiety, etc.
  •   Mental Illness/ Mental Health Disorders – Psychosis/ Mania etc.
  •   Speech & Hearing and Language Disorders.
  •   Habit Disorders – Bed Wetting, Nail Biting Thumb Sucking.
  •   Childhood Trauma and Abuse.
  •   Eating Disorder.
  •   Children in special circumstances viz., Foster, Adopted, and Custodial Care.
